Hitting the airwaves on January 10, 1984, one of them was the “Where’s the Beef?” campaign, starring cantankerous Russian octogenarian Clara Peller. Sitting down to eat in a fast food restaurant and opening an oversized bun to reveal a tiny burger patty in the middle, Peller's gruff delivery of “Where’s the Beef?” was an instant sensation.
