The morning light begins to shine through my 40 year old plant to paint abstract shapes across the wall. The subtleties of light, reflection, line and shape called to me one morning on the way to breakfast and I thought I'd share them with you using a painterly treatment over the photo. This is a rare Green Bird Orchid (Chiloglottis Cornuta). It was growing in the middle of a colony of Common Bird Orchids - so hard to get at without trampling some of them - but I managed! Found at Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve in Croydon North, Victoria, Australia.
