Despite the brick and glass venue's terrible acoustics, during its time, The Old Waldorf hosted some of the biggest names in the music industry across a wide variety of musical genres. Despite the venue's full event calendar and solid ticket sales, the owner's closed down The Old Waldorf in 1983 and reopened it as The Punch Line comedy club which still occupies the space today.
