Description: Argentinian writer Julio Cortázar is one of the founders of the Latin American boom. He employed new ways of telling a story and is often connected with surrealism and magic realism. He frequently used non-linear narrating and the stream of consciousness, sometimes trying to emulate jazz improvisations. Cortázar was respected and loved by fellow Latin American writers.
