RuPaul's Drag Race

Low-budget American feature film, written and directed by John Waters, released in 1972 on the underground circuit, where it achieved remarkable success and became an icon of bizarre cinema. The film tells the story of the drag queen Divine and her family.

1978's Lil' Red Express Truck was one of the most unique trucks ever produced. The Lil' Red Express was not only a real looker but also a real performer, so much so that it was named fastest American made vehicle from 0 to 100 MPH as tested by Car and Driver Magazine. Because of a loophole in the emissions regulations, the 1978 Dodge Lil' Red Express Truck's didn't have catalytic converters, what they did have was a special high-performance 360 small block which was a modified version of the police 360 producing 225 net horsepower @ 3800 RPM. The package also included Hemi style mufflers with a crossover pipe breathing through 2 chrome stacks located behind the cab, a special 727 transmission, and 3.55:1 rear gearing.

The Plymouth GTX is an automobile introduced as the Belvedere GTX in 1967 by Plymouth. It was positioned as a mid-sized upscale-trimmed performance muscle car through the 1971 model year and positioned as a "gentleman's muscle car." The GTX optioned Belvedere was differentiated by a blacked-out grille and special rear fascia, fiberglass simulated hood scoops with optional racing stripes, a chrome pop-open fuel filler cap, and a tachometer mounted on the center console. Standard was Plymouth's 440 cu in V8 engine called the "Super Commando 440" rated at 375 hp and the mighty 426 cu in Hemi was available as an option. Along with these big block powerplants, the GTX models were delivered with a heavy-duty suspension system as standard.

Designed as a value brand, Plymouth was well-suited to serve the post-war baby boom youth market as young men (and women) began taking to the streets, but Plymouth knew that customers wanted more. The combination of a line of lightweight vehicles with low price points, and easy access to some serious powertrains would propel the brand’s ascension from economy car nameplate to muscle car legend. Taking these lightweight cars and jamming a 426ci Max Wedge Hemi into them made for instant drag strip missiles, and professional racers saw what Plymouth was going and got behind them in great numbers. By 1970, Plymouth’s line of affordable muscle cars had blossomed into the Rapid Transit System, a group of true performers.

Speed-O-Motive got their start manufacturing custom pistons for flathead racing engines, but eventually began distributing speed parts and offering high-performance engine rebuild kits for pretty much every V8 application out there. If you couldn't swing by their Los Angeles area shop, you could mail order your parts, even complete engines after they begin offering turn key balanced and blueprinted crate racing engines. These crate strokers all ran Speed-O-Motive racing pistons, and the rest of the build leveraged top shelf goodies from other manufacturers.

Straight Outta The Burnout Box #Drag Racing

Bill Casler owned Casler Tire Service in Ontario, California where he was a pioneer in creating street legal racing tires by way of custom recaps. These tires would later become known as cheater slicks or more precisely, Casler Cheater Slicks. His signature molds would go on to be THE tires to run in the popular Super Stock racing circuits as well as with hardcore hot rodders and street racers. This design is an homage to Casler's original low-fi logo and a perfect throwback for any motorsports aficionado that knows their stuff. Race on!
