Blue hour sets in over Calgary on what appears to be a calm May evening. In actuality, there was frenetic activity all around: photographers moving their tripods to try to find the right angle, joggers running up and down the stairs, and bands marching below, hard at work on their preparations for Stampede.

Forest Illusions- Lodgepole Spring is a combination of long exposure and planned camera movement combined with natural lighting and the colorations of the scene before me. Sparse stands of lodgepole shoot to the sky while being flanked by new growth trees and meadow grasses. Reconnect with nature, you will be glad you did!

First Light is the capture in long exposure with planned camera movement of the morning light cascading over the forest and wildflowers.

Standing from the cliff, with my tripod anchored down, I used a 7 second exposure, approx, to control the light, and allow for some movement in the waves, the rest was done in lightroom and possibly some photoshop...

The iconic view of Seljalandsfoss at sunset. Despite the fact that we'd had a huge day -- driving on rough F-roads to Landmannalaugar, then to Seljalandsfoss and finally on to Skógafoss -- I spent my time here running around like crazy trying to capture every angle. Of all the waterfalls I photographed in Iceland, this one definitely had the most angle options as well, since you can walk all the way along the cliffs on both sides as well as right behind it. I'm glad I moved around though, since each angle seemingly shows off the waterfall in a completely different light!

Tilikum Crossing, also know as the Bridge of the People, is a cable-stayed bridge across the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon. It serves city buses and the Portland Streetcar, as well as bicycles, pedestrians, and emergency vehicles. Private cars and trucks are not permitted on the bridge. It is the first major bridge in the U.S. that was designed to allow access to transit vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians but not cars.
