He was the star of an experimental TV broadcast in 1928, and the basis for a classic (but unauthorized!) wall-clock design. Felix's adorable appearance, witty personality, love of high living, and comically versatile tail helped him achieve a level of popularity that he maintained until 1929, when a certain mouse's sound cartoons started to grow in popularity and studio founder/CEO Pat Sullivan refused to produce sound films...
