Description: The goddess of forests. She is a guardian deity of sacred sanctuaries, woodlands and jungles. Forests are considered to be the home of female energy and spirits, The green witch uses herbs plants and flowers to make potions and oils for everyday healing as well as how crystals gems stones and even twigs to find balance within. Wayang, also known as wajang is a traditional form of puppet theatre play originated on the Indonesian island of Java. Wayang refers to the entire dramatic show. Sometimes the leather puppet itself is referred to as wayang. Performances of wayang puppet theatre are accompanied by a gamelan orchestra in Java, and by gender wayang in Bali.
Description: The Gaia series is a collection of whimsical sprites who are spirits of endangered earth systems. The Forest Sprite is inspired by my many hikes and camping trips in forests throughout the US. Late at night, watching campfire embers drift off into the deep starry sky, I sense him out there, watching and waiting with his retinue of winged and scurrying friends. He reminds us of our divine connection to each other and our planet.
