Some are struggling with substance use, their mental health, their physical health and many have little to no support. Money raised goes to funding the supplies needed for our care packages, we hand out food, bus tickets and blankets, jackets and other seasonal items that help make folks a bit more comfortable. We also try our best to connect folks with the support that they may want to look into. This can range from health services, food banks, where to shower and get clothing, meals as well as resources to find housing and support with mental health and substance use.
Description: Featuring Sissy Hankshaw, the adventurous hitch-hiking cowgirl from Tom Robbin’s cult masterpiece ‘Even Cowgirls Get the Blues’. “It is as if the soul of the continent is weeping. Why does it weep? It weeps for the bones of the buffalo. It weeps for magic that has been forgotten. It weeps for the decline of poets. It weeps for the black people who think like white people. It weeps for the Indians who think like settlers. It weeps for the children who think like adults. It weeps for the free who think like prisoners. Most of all, it weeps for the cowgirls who think like cowboys.” Tom Robbins
