Matthew 24:27 “For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” I pray that we would be ready for His coming.

When the weight of the world is on your shoulders: “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22 I pray that we would call upon the strength of the Lord in our time of need. If we do, He will be there!

Luke 3:16 “John answered them all, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” I pray that we would stay close to the warmth of God’s fire!

This amazing world was not an accident, it was created by an intelligent designer. Isaiah 48:13 “My own hand laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens” I pray that we would acknowledge the magnificence of the Lord and live to serve Him.

Revelation 4:10-11 “...fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever… lay (your) crown before the throne and say: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things…” I pray that we would submit our lives to the one true King.

Deuteronomy 32:2 “Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.” I pray that God would water us daily with the quenching rain of the Holy Spirit!

Hebrews 4:12 “The word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” I pray that the word of God would be alive and active in our lives.

Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us that: “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” So, what is faith? “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 I pray that we would live by faith and trust in God today.

I love these words from the Paul Coleman song, One Thing. “Only one thing doesn’t change. Only one thing stays the same. All I know is at the end of the day, your love remains.” They remind me of Lamentations 3:22-23 “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” ESV I pray that we would experience the steadfast love of God in a new way this morning!

When we see a broken thing, God sees a way to make it even better. To God we are Beautifully Broken. Isaiah 61:3 “...bestow on them a crown of beauty - instead of ashes, the oil of joy - instead of mourning, and a garment of praise - instead of a spirit of despair.” I pray that we will have God’s eternal perspective so that when we see broken things, we will understand that he wants to make them even better!

2 Peter 3:18 “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” I pray that we would take these words to heart and seek real growth in our faith.

“I MAKE STUFF UP” - God. This quippy design might make you laugh but I hope it also draws attention to God, the creator of all. Colossians 1:16 “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.” I pray that we would honor the Lord and his creation in all that we do.

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” What a great verse to go with Van Gogh’s classic masterpiece, The Starry Night! I pray that we would thank God daily for his many wonderful blessings.

John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” We thank you Jesus for your sacrifice. I pray that we would live our lives accordingly.

Jeremiah 17:8 “They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” I pray that we would trust in God to provide for us so that we can be a Blessing to others.

Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is flawless” I pray that you would help us to treasure your word in our hearts, Lord.

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the LORD, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” I pray that we would always remember that our lives should revolve around the Son.

John 1:29 “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world!” Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will.” I pray that we would stay true to our faith and let it influence our world (not the other way around).

Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” I pray that we always remember that we are not alone. God is with us always.

Psalm 126:3 “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” I pray that we would thank God for His Blessings everyday.

Let the Lord be your guide. Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” I pray that we would follow the leading of the Lord in our lives.

God sent us His greatest gift nearly 2000 years ago. Accept Him. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” I pray that we would all realize what an amazing gift Jesus is to us and to this world!

Psalm 136:6 “God spread out the earth upon the waters, His love endures forever.” We thank you Lord for your incredible creation and for your love for us.

The message of Acts 16:31 is a very simple, clear and direct one: “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.” This simple message is my prayer for you and for all of us today.

The Message bible puts Luke 1:50 nicely when it says; “His mercy flows in wave after wave on those who are in awe before him.” I pray that you would wash us new and let us be refreshed by your glory Lord!
