Description: The Brothers Grimm are surrounded by characters and motifs from their famous stories. A young girl in a red hood stands next to a wolf in the foreground, near a glass slipper and a hilltop castle. A witch flies on a broomstick in the sky above traditional half-timbered houses, a river, a bridge, and cathedral spires. The text highlights Hanau, Germany as the birthplace of these classic European fairy tales and folklore.
Description: This local motif features the architecture and legacy associated with Hanau, located in the state of Hesse, Germany. The composition displays the famous monument depicting the two brothers alongside the town square buildings. This representation honors the folklore heritage found within this Hesse municipality. It serves as a tribute to the legacy of fairy tales connected to this specific German location.
Description: Once upon a time used to only be in books but now the fairytales have come to life on TV. This Once Upon A Time t-shirt design was inspired by Henry’s story book and the town of Storybrooke, where Snow White, Prince Charming, Rumpelstiltskin and other classic characters live normal lives away from their castles but not their curses.
Description: Inspired by the German folktale "Aschenputtel", and other versions of the Cinderella story. Cinderella stands beneath the trees, with two doves helping her dress for the ball. Her gown is made of silver, gold, precious gems and pearls. An enchanted pumpkin patch surrounds the scene, with four white mice hiding amongst the vines. This is the second illustration in my Fairy Tale Fashion series.
