Grocery Pins and Buttons
Description: Piggly Wiggly was the first self-service grocery store.[5] It was founded by Clarence Saunders on September 6, 1916 (although it did not open until five days later due to delays in construction), at 79 Jefferson Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee.A replica of the original store has been constructed in the Memphis Pink Palace Museum and Planetarium, a mansion that Saunders built as his private residence, which was later sold to the city. At the time of its founding, grocery stores did not allow customers to gather their goods. Instead, a customer would give a list of items to a clerk, who would then collect them throughout the store.
Description: This design has a picture of a disapproving Revolutionary War Patriot and says "You threw away 250 years of American Democracy because eggs went up 80 cents?" A reference to those who voted for Trump as a response to post-COVID inflation. This anti-Trump design is great for those who wish to express their disappointment over the results of the 2024 US presidential election.
Description: The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, better known as A&P, was an American chain of grocery stores that ceased supermarket operations in November 2015, after 156 years in business. From 1915 through 1975, A&P was the largest grocery retailer in the United States (and until 1965, the largest U.S. retailer of any kind). This design features A&P's 1976 rebrand logo which featured a new sunrise effect with a set of colored bands leading up to an offset A&P mark in a new, more modern typeface - the first major update since 1859.
Description: A richly ornamented vintage advertisement for Beeman's Pepsin Chewing Gum features a bearded gentleman's portrait framed by golden flourishes and bold red, green and blue lettering. The promise “Good for Digestion” and the sweeping “For Sale Everywhere” banner evoke the nostalgic charm of classic American commercial packaging and antique advertising art.

Description: Every English student, English teacher, and professional in any work uses this brilliant technique. The loud clacking of keyboard keys is the universal soundtrack of intense productivity. If your fingers are moving rapidly across the plastic buttons, observers naturally assume you are completing a massive assignment, grading huge piles of term papers, or drafting a very important strategic proposal. In reality, you are likely just chatting with a friend, writing down your weekend chores, or browsing an online catalog. As long as you maintain a slightly stressed expression and never break eye contact with the bright monitor, you become entirely immune to any questions or interruptions from the people passing by your desk.

Description: There is a special kind of confidence that comes from refusing to make a second trip. What begins as an ordinary errand can quickly become a test of balance, grip strength, coordination, and questionable decision-making. Suddenly, every handle is occupied, fingers are being stretched beyond their limits, and the journey from the car to the kitchen feels like an Olympic event nobody trained for. The bags swing, the contents shift, and one poorly timed step could send everything tumbling. Yet surrender is not an option. The goal is simple: complete the mission in one journey, no matter how challenging it becomes. It is less about efficiency and more about determination and proving that an unnecessary second trip can be avoided at all costs.
