Description: This watercolor portrays the Japanese Teahouse in the Japanese Garden in Hasselt, poised above a calm pond. Loose washes and delicate brushwork render the wooden veranda, sliding screens and a bright maple whose colors soften into pale reflections on the water. The composition balances simple architecture with garden details, suggesting a gentle mystery rather than a fixed story. I painted it with gentle curiosity, hoping anyone who lingers will feel a small, empathetic stillness. A quiet, evocative piece that makes a thoughtful addition to a reading nook or entryway.
