Description: WE’RE ALL JOCK TAMSON’S BAIRNS is a Scottish saying which originates from the city of Edinburgh. The Reverend of Duddingston Kirk John Thomson (Jock Tamson) apparently called the members of his congregation, ‘Ma bairns’ (my children) which resulted in people saying, ‘We’re all Jock Tamson’s bairns’ this gave a sense of belonging and kinship to his small congregation. The saying is used today to indicate that we are all God’s children, all equal and all the same regardless of skin colour. Also available in black text.
Description: Never Forget! The Remember Tryweryn Wall is a graffitied stone wall in Llanrhystud, Wales. Author and journalist Meic Stephens originally painted the words onto the wall of a ruined cottage in the early 1960s following the decision by the Liverpool City Council to flood the Tryweryn Valley to create the Llyn Celyn reservoir.
