Horseshoe Falls in Mt Field National Park, Tasmania, would have to be one of my favourite places to visit. The entire national park is pretty incredible, full of lush green mossy boulders, waterfalls, creeks and rainforest... and snow at the top of the mountain at certain times of year! Such a tranquil and peaceful place to sit and stop.

I love hiking through Tasmania, exploring the lush green forests and waterfalls. Horseshoe Falls is a favourite for many people, including myself. It sits in the Mt Field National Park, not all that far from Hobart. I could sit for hours watching and listening to waterfalls like this.

At the entrance to Cradle Mountain National Park sits Cradle Mountain Lodge, it is the perfect place to base yourself before you go exploring the national park.

Bleak

It was on one of these random hikes that I came across what I call "my" creek. To date I've never seen anyone else photograph this creek aside from the one other photographer I've taken there. Tucked away in the Otways are many green mossy creek beds and scenes that are incredibly peaceful.

Arkaba Station is located on the edge of South Australia’s Flinders Ranges National Park and is adjacent to the remarkable bastions of Wilpena Pound. Arkaba was a 60,000 acre sheep ‘station’, built in the 19th Century. Its craggy sandstone bluffs and dry creek beds lined with River Red Gums are a quintessential Australian scene, now a wild life conservancy and guest house. The Elder Range frames the homestead. Canon 500D, zoom lens.

Those white and pink wildflowers caught my eye when I walked past them in the Karijini National Park in Western Australia.

On any days off I would take to the road and start exploring, following my nose and finding "hidden" places, go hiking in nature and take photos. One of my favourite photographic subjects is green mossy creek beds with flowing water, so I would just hike up and down these creeks in the Otways, looking for new angles and compositions.
