Description: Here you can see two of the "trademarks" of Kerkyra (or "Corfu") island, Ionian Sea, Greece.. You can see the Holy Monastery of Panagia Vlahernon (17th century), on that islet at the end of the pier, and behind that Pontikonisi (means "mouse island). The photo is taken from a hill called Kanoni (means "canon") that took its name during the French occupation of the island, because of the French canons that were put there. On the right side of the picture you can see, part of the Halikiopoulou lagoon.
