Before the Last Supper, Judas went to the chief priests and agreed to hand over Jesus in exchange for thirty pieces of silver. According to the Gospel of John, Judas was possessed by Satan after the time he ate the bread, and was influenced to perform the act quickly. Jesus was then arrested in Gethsemane, where Judas revealed Jesus' identity to the soldiers, giving him a kiss.
