Lizard Monster Pins and Buttons
Description: Day Eleven of #Gizztober, LIZARD! 🦎 I was honestly pretty stumped with yesterdays #mabsdrawlloweenclub prompt. I could’ve just drawn a spider or something but I decided to participate in a different list instead! For this, I used @artdecho1985’s Gizztober list! Here is a lizard somewhat inspired by my Gila monster drawing, but with a different kind of lizard. The original artwork is 🆙 for grabs on my sh0p!

Saturated green hues, detailed crosshatching, and jagged red scream lettering accentuate this chilling pulp comic moment. Description: The Giant Gila Monster is a 1959 science fiction horror film directed by Ray Kellogg and produced by Ken Curtis. This low-budget B-movie starred Don Sullivan, a veteran of several low budget monster and zombie films, and Lisa Simone, as well as comedic actor Shug Fisher and KLIF disc jockey Ken Knox. The effects included a live Mexican beaded lizard (not an actual Gila monster) filmed on a scaled-down model landscape. The story centers around a giant lizard that terrorizes a rural Texas community, as a heroic teenager attempts to destroy the creature using his prized hot rod.
Description: Kaiju-Nuggets, anyone? This is 100% definitely NOT a Buc-ee's shirt, and any resemblance to his likeness is either accidental, intended or both. Japanese print reads: "Mr. Bucky, Monster Beaver-Lizard" Attn. Legal Department of the Greatest Store in Texas: Please note the Bucky-zilla is looking the other way. This is what I hope you will do too. ;-) v/r, That Eric

This is Glow who is taking shade under a creosote bush from the hot Sonoran Desert sun in June of 2007 about 50 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona. He has starred in at least two of my gila monster videos which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD44DCE95D1B219A0
