Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II is a 1987 Canadian supernatural slasher film directed by Bruce Pittman, and starring Michael Ironside, Wendy Lyon, Louis Ferreira and Lisa Schrage. It follows a high school student who becomes possessed by Mary Lou Maloney, a student who died at her high school prom in 1957. A sequel to the slasher film Prom Night (1980), it was originally intended to be a standalone film titled The Haunting of Hamilton High, but was refitted and retitled in order to capitalize on the success of the original Prom Night. Despite this, the only connection between the two narratives is that they occur in the same high school.

Well, Linda Lou and her gun-happy boyfriend probably won't be there, but an altercation between Ronnie Van Zant and another patron at The Jug Saloon in Jacksonville, Florida, inspired one of Lynyrd Skynyrd's most memorable songs. You can still go grab a beer there, though it's worth noting that it was called the West Tavern when Van Zant had his run-in. The band changed the name of the bar to make it sound cooler and the bar returned the favor a few years ago in a nod to the hit song.

Era Records was an independent American record label in Hollywood, California. It was founded by Herb Newman and Lou Bedell in 1955 as a pop, country and western, and jazz label. In 1959 Bedell sold his interest in the label to Newman. Era had a No. 1 hit in 1956 with Gogi Grant's "The Wayward Wind" written by Newman. Musicians with hits on Era include Ketty Lester ("Love Letters"), Larry Verne ("Mr. Custer"), Donnie Brooks ("Mission Bell"), Dorsey Burnette ("Tall Oak Tree"), Art & Dotty Todd ("Chanson D' Amour"), and The Castells ("So This Is Love").
