Vintage art not created by me. She likes her own company, and prefers solitude, even as she watches the gondola pass by. She prefers to go her own pace. No one holding her back or hurrying her up. Just her own experience, her own thoughts, and the hush of the snow. Tignes is a commune in the Tarentaise Valley, Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is located in the Savoie region with good transport links in and out of Lyon, Geneva and Chambery. Lots of great skiing there! Vintage art, professionally restored.

This is a watercolour painting of boats at the lovely little coastal village of Pittenweem. It's situated up the East Coast of Scotland just south of St. Andrews.

This is Millport Pier, a lovely little village in the West of Scotland.

Law Hill is near to the village of Quothquan where my Dad had his farm. This little hill used to be a hill fort many years ago, hence the shape. Lovely and very picturesque.

I love this type of subject and enjoyed getting the detail and textures of the bricks and rendering. The sign used to advertise a Public House called 'The Bowler's Tavern'. The sign really has seen better days.

Watercolour From references I took of Burn Braes in Biggar, Lanarkshire. I really loved the wonky fence and the fact that the roof slates were falling off the roof. The roof has long since been repaired (as has the fence).

Watercolour Spent a weekend at Pittenweem, hoping to get some lovely sunny shots of the harbour and the old boats. It snowed non stop all weekend. Looking back, my references were actually pretty good. Nice snowy shots....

Portencross is situated West of West Kilbride on the West coast of Scotland. There are some houses, an old harbour and a castle which is currently being restored. It's a lovely spot and I've taken lots of good reference photographs and done a fair number of sketches for future paintings. Well worth a visit.
