Description: The old gods of the Slavs, standing side by side like carved wooden idols. Thunder and lightning, the blazing sun, the coiling serpent, the wolf of the forest, the moon, water and ripe wheat: each figure carries the sacred signs of its power. In 980 Prince Volodymyr raised a pantheon of such idols on a hill in Kyiv, with Perun, Khors, Dazhbog, Stryboh, Symargl and Mokosh standing together above the Dnipro.
