The White Zombie Design celebrates the 1932 independent horror movie starring Bela Lugosi as Murder Legendre, the evil voodoo master. Directed and produced by Victor and Edward Halperin, White Zombie tells the story of a young woman's transformation into a zombie at the hands of an evil voodoo master, featuring Madge Bellamy as Lugosi's unwilling victim. As one of the earliest, if not the first, zombie movie, White Zombie was a financial success, it suffered terribly at the hands of the critics and to this day remains a 'love it or loathe it' classic.
