Northern Italy Pins and Buttons

This is "La Piana di Marcesina" in Veneto, Italy. I've grown up skiing in this beautiful place and every year me and my family try to go back for as many days as we can to enjoy the snow, for the Christmas Holidays. It's definitely one of my favourite Christmas traditions!

Bassano Del Grappa with its Brenta's river running under the historical old bridge in a beautiful winter holiday evening. I love how the construction workers decided to decorate the whole crane with festive lights for the holiday seasons!

The elegant and stunning classical architecture of Venice seen through an archway not far from the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square. Venice is the capital of the Veneto region of Italy which developed into a city state between the C9th and C12th. It became a major and rich trading city and also developed as a centre for the arts and culture. Digital art developed from my original photograph.

Tuscan Sunset

Looking out over Lake Garda from the picturesque town of Limone Sul Garda which sits on its north western shore. Lake Garda, known for its crystal clear water, stretches up in a northerly direction to the Dolomite Mountains which, at this northern end surround it and sweep down to its shores. A little further to the north of Limone is the bustling town of Riva del Garda. This image has been finished in the style of an oil painting.

Stormy Venice

This image was taken on the western side of the Sirmione Peninsular on an overcast day with the morning light reflecting off the clear waters of the lake. The mountains in the distance still had a misty covering and a blue haze before the sun broke through for another typical Lake Garda day.

This beautiful little fairytale island is called Isola di Loreto and is situated in Lake Iseo in Northern Italy. A neo gothic castle was built in the early 1900s but previously there had been a monastery dating back to the 15th century

Corso Dante Alighieri in Torri del Benaco on Lake Garda on a lovely sunny September morning just right for a slow walk along the cobbled streets before the usual influx of visitors arrive. This pretty little village is not one of the better known destinations on the lake, but is very picturesque and a beautiful place to visit.

Isola dei Pescatori is one of the Borromeo islands on Lake Maggiore in Northern Italy. The island is seen here bathed in sunshine from a spot near the town of Baveno standing out against an otherwise blue scene of sky, mountains and Lake Maggiore itself.

A poster-style illustration of Manarola a small town, a frazione of the comune of Riomaggiore, in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northern Italy. It is the second-smallest of the famous Cinque Terre towns frequented by tourists.

My husband and I traveled to Tuscany a couple years ago. We were road tripping from Tuscany to Milan and decided to make a pitstop in Pisa. It was so worth it.
