Owl Illustrations Pins and Buttons
Description: A detailed vintage-style illustration depicts a barn owl in three successive stages of a hunting dive. Arranged diagonally from top to bottom, each owl captures a different moment in the descent, with wings sweeping through changing positions and talons extending as the bird closes in on its prey. Rendered in rich blue engraved linework with intricate feather details, stippling, and crosshatching, the artwork evokes the look of antique natural history illustrations. The composition emphasizes motion, precision, and the silent grace of the barn owl, creating a bold, dynamic design that celebrates the beauty of this remarkable nocturnal hunter.
Description: A cover image from the Mubu book series by Peter Alexander, illustration by Paulo Sergio, and art direction by Rick Lucey. A sudden storm with wind, rain, thunder and lightning crashed down around Grandfather. He had been searching for healing plants he used to help his friends in a Northern Thailand village. All at once a tiny creature fell through the trees and landed at his feet. It was a pink, sightless one-week-old spotted owl that had been blown from his nest. Surely, the baby would not last long. This is the story of his granddaughter, Mubu, who came to love the injured bird, to sleep with it, to feed it, and to talk it back to health. She named him Hoot. https://kennebecriverpublishing.sitey.me/mubu-hoot
