Description: Perun, the thunder god of the ancient Slavs, lord of lightning, oak and war. In 980 Prince Volodymyr raised his idol on a hill above Kyiv, carved from wood with a silver head and a golden moustache. Eight years later it was thrown into the Dnipro, but the thunder never stopped. This bold red, black and cream design shows the carved idol split by lightning against a burning sun, in the raw spirit of Slavic mythology. Designed in Kyiv, Ukraine, for everyone who carries the old gods in their blood.
