The team played a total of five non-consecutive seasons using the "Witches" moniker. Salem also hosted the New England League Salem Fairies (1887) and Salem (1891–1892), as well as Salem of the New England Association (1895). Description: The Nashua Pirates were a minor league baseball team, based in Nashua, New Hampshire. The team started in 1983 as the Nashua Angels, an affiliate with the California Angels in the Eastern League. The club changed affiliations in 1984 to the Pittsburgh Pirates and were then renamed the Nashua Pirates and played through the 1986 season. The team's home ballpark was Holman Stadium.
Description: The Vermont Expos were the short-season Class A farm club of the Montreal Expos from 1993 to 2005. The team was purchased from the Jamestown Expos, the farm team for MLB's Montreal Expos in 1993. When the major league Expos moved to Washington DC and became the Nationals, the minor league Expos kept the name for a season before becoming the Vermont Lake Monsters
