Pittsburgh Rens Pins and Buttons

Description: The distinctive "Renaissance" wordmark of the Pittsburgh Rens ABL basketball club, combined with their Civic Arena logo!

Description: This shirt combines the Pittsburgh Pipers away jersey, home jersey, warmup jacket, and Pittsburgh Hall of Fame logos!

Description: "The Hawk" was to the Civic Arena hardwood what #66 was to the Civic Arena ice!

Description: The corporate logo for the Pittsburgh Pipers Basketball Club of the American Basketball Association!

Description: We've combined the Pipers' home and away logos here in one design!

Description: We always thought that the Pipers were named after steelworkers who made steel pipe. But actually they were named for Scottish Bagpipers! This is still appropriate however, given Andrew Carnegie's Scottish heritage! This is a rarely seen alternate logo for the Pittsburgh Pipers basketball team, used in some advertising promotions. Note the bagpipe itself is a basketball!

Description: Defunct Dayton Rens Basketball Team

Description: Remember the 1967-68 Pittsburgh Pipers with this home jersey design, the same design worn as the great Connie Hawkins led them to the 1967-68 inaugural ABA World Championship!

Description: We're not sure what happened to the Pittsburgh Coal Co. but they had an awesome sign hanging "dahntahn" once upon a time!

Description: The Pipers were one of the ABA's inaugural franchises in 1967. The team had great success on the court, posting the league's best record during the regular season (54-24, .692) and winning the league's first ABA Championship. The Pipers were led by their star player, ABA MVP and future Hall-of-Famer Connie Hawkins, who led the ABA in scoring at 26.8 ppg. The Pipers swept through the 1968 ABA Playoffs and defeated the New Orleans Buccaneers 4 games to 3 to take the title, with Hawkins earning Finals MVP honors. The ABA title remains Pittsburgh's only pro basketball championship.

Description: This alternate logo for the Pittsburgh Piranhas basketball team was not widely seen that's for sure!

Description: the full logo and wordmark for your 1971-72 Pittsburgh Condors of the ABA!

Description: In 1971, the Pittsburgh Pipers rebranded to the Pittsburgh Condors and originally planned to use the Pipers old jerseys rather than order new ones! This style was used in the preseason photo shoots but never saw the court, at least as "Condors" jerseys!

Description: The white version of the 1930s Pittsburgh Hornets "P" uniform sweater logo, worn on the ice at old Duquesne Garden as it was called that decade!

Description: Inspired by the short-lived light-blue Pittsburgh Hornets away jersey from their return season of 1961-62, we have imagined this alternate logo which incorporates that light blue into the crest itself!
