Pittsburgh Soccer Pins and Buttons
Description: The Pittsburgh Phantoms, more formally known as The Pittsburgh Phantoms Professional Soccer Club, were once part of the NPSL (National Professional Soccer League), the league that became the world famous NASL (North American Soccer League)! Almost unbelievably, the Phantoms played their home games in their only season of 1967 at Forbes Field. Their fantastic logo was decades ahead of its time, and though it took us more than two decades, we eventually found conclusive evidence that the Phantoms' team colors were purple and white rather than black and white! Remember Pittsburgh's first professional soccer franchise!
Description: Remember the Pittsburgh Miners™ soccer club from the 1970s? Well, you're probably not alone! It took us more than 20 years to find conclusive evidence that their team colors were red and blue. Here's one vision of what a Miners soccer jersey might look like today! Why #1? In honor of that one lone victory in the Miners' ASL history! Appropriately though, vs. Cincinnati! Pittsburgh Miners™ is a trademark of Pittsburgh Hall of Fame and Sports Museum, LLC.
