The Tet Corporation was founded in 1977 in New York City with funding from Susannah Holmes's inherited family fortune. The Corporation pursues three objectives: to protect Stephen King, to defend the Rose, and to sabotage the Sombra Corporation

LaMerk Industries is a megacorporation in alliance with the Sombra Corporation and North Central Positronics, and in conflict with the Tet Corporation. LaMerk Industries, also known as LaMerk Foundry, is a company that works with metal to create robots and other things (such as the manhole covers found in Lud City. It is closely allied to the Sombra Corporation and the Crimson King.

The Sombra Corporation is a megacorporation in alliance with North Central Positronics and LaMerk Industries, and in conflict with the Tet Corporation. Richard Sayre was at one time the CEO of the Corporation.
