Description: For more than six decades, the Silver Moon Diner stood at 235-20 Hillside Avenue as a beloved landmark in Queens Village, New York. Housed in a classic 1950s prefabricated, stainless-steel-clad diner, the Silver Moon served an expansive all-day menu of American comfort food, Greek specialties, and traditional breakfast favorites. Generations of neighborhood regulars filled its booths, while its unmistakable old-school atmosphere drew plenty of hungry travelers passing through the area. Sadly, after decades of serving the community, the Silver Moon Diner closed its doors for good in 2018, leaving behind an empty corner and countless memories for those who once called it their neighborhood diner.
