Until spending time to personally study bees with my camera - I've never seen pollination other than on the television happen... I thoroughly recommend that others do it... Maybe it should be on the school curriculum..? 'Spend a little time getting to know that this delicate process undertaken by the bees' ~ which allows us to survive. The attraction of bees to flowers is that of a reward interaction... The scent produced by the flowers initially attract the bees and they hone in with their big compound eyes lured in by the bright colourful flowers. A beautiful Hemerocallis flower, also known as Daylily ( Railroad Daylily, Roadside Daylily, Ditch Lily, Outhouse Lily, Tiger Lily, and Wash-house Lily (although it is not a true lily))

Two elegant delicate sunlit pink flowerheads tilt towards the sky. Pictured on a painterly canvas-like background, they offer their attractive stamen and pollen to any visiter insect wishing to share in their generous beauty.

Did you know: The Hibiscus syriacus is the national flower of South Korea, and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is the national flower of Malaysia. The hibiscus is also the national flower of Haiti. The red hibiscus is the flower of the Hindu goddess Kali, and appears frequently in depictions of her in the art of Bengal, India, often with the goddess and the flower merging in form. The hibiscus is used as an offering to goddess Kali and Lord Ganesha in Hindu worship. And in the Philippines kids love the hibiscus and use it to make bubbles. The flowers and leaves are crushed until the sticky juices come out. Hollow papaya stalks are then dipped into this and used as straws for blowing bubbles.
