The view of the Louvre Palace as seen from the Tuileries Gardens in Paris. The Musée du Louvre is the world's largest art museum and is situated on the right bank of the River Seine. It started life as a castle which was demolished in 1546 to build the palace - the residence of French kings until the eventual move to Versailles. It became a museum in 1793 during the French Revolution to display the country's artistic masterpieces. In keeping, this image has been given a pencil drawing finish.

A watercolour of the historic Breadsall Priory in my home county of Derbyshire, England. The first buildings here date back to the 13th Century. The priory is now a hotel and famous for its beautiful gardens.

Estate home of President Jefferson, located in Charlottesville, Virginia. There is a small reflecting pool in part of the yard from which I captured this view. It's a gorgeous setting. Do visit if you have a chance! July, 2022.

Hopetoun House, one of the most splendid examples of Georgian architecture in Britain is the traditional residence of the Earl of Hopetoun (the Marquess of Linlithgow). It was built in 1699 and was designed by William Bruce, and extended in 1721 by William Adam. The house is located near South Queensferry to the west of Edinburgh, Scotland. Set in 150 acres of rolling parkland with extensive woodland walks, breathtaking vistas over the River Forth and a deer park, the magnificent interiors boast fine paintings, original furnishings and décor, tapestries and objects d’art with Aubusson tapestries and fabulous chandeliers in the Ballroom. A view of the Palais du Luxembourg which is in the 6th arrondisement of Paris, It was built between 1615 and 1645 to be the residence of Marie de Medici, the mother of King Louis XIII. However, following the Revolution (1789-99) it was turned into a civic building. This view looks at the south side across the decorative pond on which model yachts are often sailed.
