Description: Luke Gray (UK) is a travelling surrealist painter specializing in large scale paintings on walls and canvas. Born colour blind he was forced to use an almost exclusively black and white palette, working with patterns and textures rather than colour. He draws from traditional Asian decorative arts as well as art nouveau and symbolist painters.
Description: The death moth has fascinated artists for a long time, and this is my surreal interpretation of it. I went overboard with skulls and eyeballs, added some horns and bone like structures… Overall, I spent like 30 hours designing this tiny beast to make it look evil, macabre, spooky, gothic and extra cool. I hope you like it, I really enjoyed drawing it…
