Sizzling, organic tangle of vines and blooms

Tangled Collage 3 is the 3rd in a series of tangled collages. Firstly I created a number of monoprints, hand pulled using a gelli plate and black water based ink. These were then torn up and collaged randomly onto a black background. I then tangled over the collage in black and white inks.

This is a solar print created on rice paper using acrylic inks. The heart and butterflies have been hand drawn in green pen after the print was dry.

The word stucco has absolutely nothing to do with this design. It’s only called that because as I was staring at the design, that is the only word that came to mind. Real deep, I know, naming a design after a texture typically found on the exterior of houses.
