Description: The Lounge Ax was considered the best rock club in Chicago before closing it's doors 20 years ago. Located across the street from Wax Trax in Lincoln Park, many of the punk rock, new wave and industrial acts the indie label broke performed there. Wilco, Phish, The Jesus Lizard, Sebadoh,Yo La Tengo, Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins, the White Stripes, Sleater‐Kinney, Pavement and Neutral Milk Hotel made it their Windy Ciy home, and it was featured in a scene in the film "High Fidelity." Distressed for an authentic, vintage look.
