While there were plenty of early cable companies serving the market, Plaza Cable wasn't one of them. Plaza is a fictional NYC cable company that originated in a '90s sitcom where the cable guy was trying to get into an apartment to turn off premium channels that were mistakenly added to their plan. The resident turns the tables, forcing the cable guy to experience what it's like waiting on them, all while enjoying his premium cable channels.
