Al Khemet 35 Posters and Art Prints

This is from a series of drawings called Al Khemet that I made in the autumn of 2015. The whole thing is based on the origins of the word "alchemy". If I have understood it correctly the word can be traced back to the Egyptian Al Khemet. Al supposedly means "of" or "from", and khemet means "the black land". It again comes from the word khem which means "black". The ancient Egyptians supposedly often reffered to their country as Khemet (because of the dark, rich and fertile soil). My "story" is based on the "from black" meaning, as this story is drawn in black ink only. The whole series can be read as a comic on tapastic. Thank you for watching!
