Arundel Castle Gardens Number of views as of 28th July 2016 = 280. The grounds of Arundel Castle (West Sussex, England) have been open to the public since 1800 and the gardens since 1854. This particular garden (The Collector Earl's Garden) was conceived as a tribute to Thomas Howard, the 14th Earl of Arundel (1585-1646), a notable English collector of paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, books and jewellery. Date: 30th October 2013.

Lady In Red Number of views as of 7th March 2017 = 280. A tiny splash of colour brightens the facade of an English country house near Wimborne, Dorset. Date: 2nd February 2014.

Otterton Number of views as of 1st May 2017 = 260. On the east bank of the River Otter, the picturesque village of Otterton (East Devon, England) includes several thatched and cob cottages and an attractive stream runs down the main street. The village is one mile inland from Ladram Bay and Devon's renowned world heritage site, the Jurassic Coast. At the time of the Domesday Book (1086), the village church belonged to the monastery of Mont Saint-Michel. Otterton Mill (the site of a water mill for well over a thousand years) now houses a craft centre, cafe/restaurant and live music venue. Date: 30th August 2012.

Moonlight on Lyme Bay Number of views as of 4th June 2016 = 290. Lyme Bay is an area of the English Channel sweeping across over 100 miles of coastline from Portland, Dorset in the East down to Start Point, south of Brixham, Devon. This shot was taken on a moonlit evening in late August from the promenade in Sidmouth (East Devon, England). Date: 30th August 2012.

Thames Skyline Number of views as of 13th December 2017 = 280. A view across the River Thames (London, England) from the South Bank looking towards St Pauls Cathedral (top centre). St Pauls was of course designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Construction began in 1675 and completed in 1720. Date: 9th March 2014.

Almshouses, Chipping Norton Number of views as of 7th September 2017 = 210. These almshouses in the Cotswold town of Chipping Norton (Oxfordshire, England) were founded in 1640 by a gentlemen named Henry Cornish, 'for eight aged widows who had to be of honest and godly life and conversation'. He also bequeathed 12 other cottages around the town 'to be let to honest people who could afford to rent them', but he stipulated that the rents should never be increased. Cornish was evidently quite a wealthy gentleman and benefactor, but his personal life was tinged with tragedy. Although he and his wife had 12 children, 10 died in childhood and the other 2 only lived until their 30s. Date: 14th February 2016.

*Palms & Tulips* Number of views as of 9th June 2019 = 260. A colourful display of tulips and palm trees in a sub-tropical garden, near Salcombe, South Devon. The garden was the creation of scientist and inventor Otto Overbeck (1860 - 1937). Date: 14th April 2014.

St Mary's Church, Almer Number of views as of 4th April 2017 = 230. The 12th century church of St Mary's, Almer lies just off the busy A31 between Wimborne and Bere Regis (Dorset, England). Perhaps more familiar landmarks in the vicinity are the thatched Worlds End pub, and the Charborough Estate, surrounded by one of the longest brick walls in England, over 2 million bricks were used in its construction. Date: 10th October 2010.

Sandy Mouth, Cornwall, England Number of views as of 24th September 2017 = 275. Jagged pinnacles of rock on the shore at one of North Cornwall's popular beaches, Sandy Mouth, just a few miles north of Bude. Steps lead down from the National Trust car park to the sand & pebble beach, backed by remarkably folded cliffs. Arundel Castle Number of views as of 7th September 2018 = 280. Shot from within the outer walls, here's a view of the turrets and fortifications that were built to protect the inhabitants of Arundel's superb fairy-tale castle. Location: Arundel, West Sussex, England. Date: 30th October 2013.

St Mary's, Cropredy Number of views as of 14th May 2017 = 230. The Church of St Mary the Virgin in the Oxfordshire village of Cropredy, near Banbury. The majority of the Church dates from the 14th century, though parts of it are up to 300 years older than that. The Church belfry houses 8 bells, one of which commemorates the annual music festival Fairport's Cropredy Convention which has been held in the village since 1976. In 1644, Cropredy was the scene of a major battle in the English Civil War, though despite heavy losses on the Parliamentary side, this particular battle ended in a stalemate. Date: 10th August 2012.

Hampreston Church Number of views as of 15th March 2017 = 280. Another view of the Church of All Saints, Hampreston, this time from around the back! The Church, not far from Wimborne in Dorset has changed more than a little through the ages. Its origins are shrouded in the mists of time, most likely Saxon, possibly around 600 A.D. Written records only go back as far as 1261. The tower, nave and chancel are 14th century, the roof 17th century, and the remainder owes much to a Victorian renovation which became necessary in the late 19th century because the church was in a poor state of repair at that time. Village Sign, Wimborne St Giles Number of views as of 13th June 2017 = 230. The village of Wimborne St Giles (7 miles north of Wimborne Minster, in the County of Dorset, England) was established comparatively recently in 1733 as the amalgamation of two much older villages, St Giles and All Hallows, both listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. The sign depicts St Giles, a hermit who apparently lived for many years in a forest near Nimes in Southern France. His sole companion in this time was a red deer. When his retreat was finally discovered by the king's hunters, an arrow aimed at the deer wounded the saint instead. St Giles later became the patron saint of cripples. Date: 19th April 2014. Abbey House, Cerne Abbas Number of views as of 7th September 2018 = 250. The Dorset village of Cerne Abbas grew up around the important Benedictine Cerne Abbey, which was founded in the year 987 A.D. The abbey dominated the surrounding English countryside for over 500 years. Following the dissolution of the monasteries in 1539, most of the Abbey was destroyed and little can be seen of it today. The rather fine residence pictured is the Abbey Farm House, which adjoins the former grounds of the Abbey. Date: 25th September 2011.

Chalbury Church Number of views as of 20th April 2017 = 260. Chalbury is a small village with some 140 inhabitants about 5 miles north of Wimborne, Dorset, England. Somewhat off the beaten track, you're unlikely to pass through the village unless you go looking. The church of All Saints is built in a lovely, peaceful location, atop a small hill, affording fine views of the nearby Horton Tower and across the surrounding Dorset countryside. The oldest parts of the church are over 800 years old, but much of it was rebuilt in the 18th century. Date: 7th June 2009.

The Old Lifeboat Station, Poole, Dorset, England Number of views as of 7th September 2018 = 280. Established in 1882 and replacing an older building at Sandbanks, Poole's old lifeboat station at Fisherman's Dock saw 92 years of active service before being converted into a museum. Key events in the station's history: In October 1884, James Hughes, a member of the lifeboat crew, fell in front of the main wheels of the carriage whilst getting out of the lifeboat after an exercise, and was killed. In 1897, a slipway was constructed at a cost of £135. In January 1919, rescued 21 Japanese crew members of an ex-German submarine. Hereford Cathedral Number of views as of 19th December 2017 = 280. Founded over 1200 years ago, Hereford Cathedral is one of England's finest places of worship. The current building was begun in 1079, after its predecessor was plundered and burnt to the ground by marauding Welsh and Irishmen 23 years earlier. This was not the only disaster to befall the Cathedral, for in 1786, the western tower fell, creating a ruin of the entire west front and part of the nave. Restoration work began in 1841 and the Cathedral was re-opened in 1904. The Cathedral's treasures include a rare chained library, whose exhibits include the Mappa Mundi, a map of the world dating from the 13th century, and a copy of the Magna Carta dating from 1217.
