Mister Suitcase- the filmstrip mascot for The Commission's training videos, as seen in season 2 of The Umbrella Academy Netflix series. A funny nod to the spacetime-altering suitcase carried by Five and Hazel during their adventures.

You have to commission an artist while his rate is still good. This is a quote by Sunny De La Vega in In The Heights, the Broadway Production. Quote is not included in the movie/film. Design is for light-colored shirts due to its dark print and it is also faded/weathered/distressed. I made this into a shirt because it's a very relatable quote for artists in quarantine who are trying to earn at the safety of their homes. Perfect statement shirt for artists trying to make a bold statement during hard times.

Here we have another colour photograph of the Royal Navy's aircraft carrier HMS Hermes anchored somewhere in the mediterranean. The photo dates to within the 1960s. This is one of many photo's that were taken by my father whilst he served on HMS Hermes in the 1960s.

Oct 2010: With William Walton's Lark Ascending in my mind while designing this work, I attempted to create something visually exciting without being 'noisy'; uplifting and at the same time peaceful. While the client's were excited by my work when they saw me at the Craft Expo at Old Parlliament House, Canberra this year, the brief was quite difficult to interpret; they rejected my first two drawings and pushed me on to create something quite out-of-the-box. It is a fixed window to sitting room, 147cm x 54cm in a very nice house in Nichols, ACT.
