A seal on the beach of Kynance Cove, Cornwall, UK The sad look on this animal's face tells the whole story of the endangered seal population around European coasts. This seal puppy had very obviously an injured fin, it had great difficulties rolling back into the sea and even though it managed at last, we couldn't be sure that it would cope with the dangers in the water. There is a seal sanctuary in Cornwall which deals with cases like this, but we were not in time to call specialized staff, Kynance Cove being too remote. (Nikon Coolpix P510)

Red Panda Number of views as of 24th April 2018 = 1030. A beautiful red panda (latin name: Ailurus Fulgens) at the Cotswold Wildlife Park, near Burford, Oxfordshire, England. The red panda (also known as the lesser panda or red cat-bear), is a small tree-dwelling mammal, native to the eastern Himalayas and south-western China. The population of red pandas in the wild has been estimated at less than 10,000. Sadly, the population continues to decline and is threatened by habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching, and inbreeding depression. In common with its cousin, the great panda, the red's diet is primarily bamboo, but they have also been known to eat blossom, berries, small mammals, eggs and even birds. Date: 17th February 2015.

The males of the pride fight over the lioness which has come into eostrous. The couple then hunt together and eat. They then mate. Copulation occurs approximately every 40 minutes for 4 to 7 days, and lasts only for a couple of minutes each time. Afterwards there is a short rest period.
