Exeter Quay Number of views as of 29th August 2018 = 1000. Dating back 2000 years or more, the historic quayside by the River Exe in the city of Exeter (Devon, England) has seen many changes over the centuries. Exeter's wealth came from the woollen trade which peaked in the mid 18th century. Cloth woven in the area was loaded onto ships on the quay and transported all over the world. Nowadays the quay offers relative peace and quiet, just 5 minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Date: 8th December 2012.

Exeter Canal The Exeter Ship Canal (Exeter, Devon, England), first completed in the 1560s, is one of the oldest man-made waterways in Britain. It was constructed to bypass weirs that had been built across the River Exe to prevent boats reaching the city, instead forcing them to unload at Topsham, from where the Earls of Devon would charge high tolls for transporting goods into the city. The canal was last used commercially in 1972, but it is still widely used for leisure purposes, and the city basin is being included as part of a £24 million redevelopment scheme. Exeter Cathedral, properly known as Cathedral Church of St Peter in Exeter, is an Anglican Cathedral situated in the centre of Exeter, in Devon. The current building was completed circa 1400 but it's founding dates back to the 11th century.

This spire is atop Exeter College Chapel in Oxford. Exeter is one of the colleges that comprise Oxford University.

Custom House, Exeter Quay Number of views as of 18th February 2017 = 460. Designed by North Devon builder, Richard Allen, the city of Exeter's custom house is one of the oldest such buildings in England, dating from 1680. It is also believed to be the oldest brick building in the city. Here on the quayside, imported goods would be assessed and duties paid before the goods were transported into the city. Home to around 120,000 inhabitants, the city of Exeter is approx 70 miles south-west of Bristol and 37 miles north-east of Plymouth. Date: 8th December 2012. It was late October when I was walking the Morrison Dam Trail, near Exeter, Ontario when I glanced across the field to the north. There stood an isolated stand of evergreen trees. It was an overcast day so the sky just looked white. There are really only three elements n this image, the white sky, the dark green trees, and the yellow-green of the field.

This image depicts the trail around the Morrison Dam, near Exeter, Ontario, Canada. It was mid-October, just when the autumn leaves were at their most vibrant. The warmth of summer had gone, but oh how the forest showed its warmth of colour. I hope my image brings you that feeling.

Double locks on the Exeter Ship Canal was a regular pub for me, a walk along the canal bank gave you a thirst. I would often go there with my brothers Bruce and Neil, I decided it was time to do a painting of the Pub called double locks for my brother Bruce, and here it is. I included him standing on the canal bank in his Chelsea Floorball top. I gave the original to him as a birthday present, but you can have it in any product Redbubble produce.

I often pass this barn as I travel to our cottage. It always catches my eye, sitting as it does so tidily and alone in a field. The barn appears to be in great condition, unlike so many of its vintage. Offset from the barn are a terrific quartet of conifers, which provide balance to the image, Judging by the spacing between them, there was probably a fifth in there at one time. I'm guessing, but there was probably a farm house there at as well. The morning light provides a golden glow to the old barn boards and the fresh snow gives the whole image a sparkle. I hope you like it.
