Description: Melvins are an American rock band formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington, and are widely regarded as pioneers of sludge metal while also influencing grunge, doom metal, stoner rock, and experimental heavy music. Although they have remained primarily a cult act rather than a mainstream success, their impact on heavy music has been enormous, with a prolific catalog spanning more than four decades.
