The players assume the role of an alien-humanoid space pilot who has been exiled from their home galaxy for committing an unlearned crime. The only way the player character can return is to restore their honor; the only way to do so is to invade and defeat the alien invaders who have been known to frequently attack the player character's people using a ship called the Main Fighter.

The world of video games provides plenty of inspiration for the newly announced "Space Force" of the United States. This particular design borrows inspiration from Seibu Kaihatsu's RAIDEN (which also falls in line with the 'lighting' part)

New stylized logo of the defunct, but well-loved arcade Japanese shoot 'em up maker Toaplan. Of course, they did games that weren't shmups, but those are titles they are mainly remembered for.

A desperate battle is being fought out in the limitless and unknown dimensions of space which have been contaminated and corrupted by an evil power. The evil power is the Bydo Empire, which is determined to subjugate the world. It is inhabited by weird creatures, whose very sight inspires fear. But Mankind is fighting back, and sends you into battle in an incredibly sophisticated plane, the R-9 fighter. Behind the control panel of this fantastic fighting machine, you are Mankind’s only defence against the enemy.

Dragon Spirit is a vertical-scrolling shooter video game. The player controls the dragon Amul in his effort to rescue the princess Alicia from the serpent demon Zawell. Amul can move in eight directions and has access to two weapons; a flame projectile to destroy air-based enemies, and a bomb to destroy ground-stationed enemies, similar to Namco's Xevious series.

-The spy group you rescued report the aliens have built a Doomsday device.They beleive by destroying it, you can retrieve our troops and the sub-module.

Hyper Dyne Side Arms (サイドアーム) is a 1986 side-scrolling shoot-'em-up arcade game developed by Capcom. The player takes control of a flying mecha suit who must battle an alien army. Side Arms uses a two-directional attacking system similar to Capcom's previous shoot-'em-up Section Z.

Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams is a scrolling shooter game reminiscent of Parodius where players assume the role of a young witch named Nata de Cotton who, alongside her fairy companion Silk, travels various increasingly difficult levels through a fantasy dream-like world on a quest to defeat several monsters and get her Willow candy.
