Californium is a strong neutron emitter used in portable detectors to find corrosion, bad welds, cracks, oil layers, precious metal ores, etc.

Oganesson is part of the Group 18 noble gas family, although it is predicted to be a solid rather than a gas at room temperature. Oganesson, like most of the man-made elements, is very short-lived.

Even though the Storistir Periodic Table stories and poems describe elements, they are also stories. The first 10 poems illustrate Mary's love for her lamb and the trust built through her lamb's escapades.

Hydrogen may be the smallest element, but it is mighty! Our sun fuses approximately 6 million tons of hydrogen per second, making mostly helium, along with various other elements and energy.

Iron is needed to help carry oxygen to the blood in animals, and is crucial in making chlorophyll in plants. The Latin for iron or "firmness" is ferrum, which is why the symbol for Iron is Fe.

Gold is malleable, ageless, bright, inert and durable through time. It has uses beyond coinage and jewelry, such as in medicine, dentistry and plating of electronic components. The largest gold nugget found was the Welcome Stranger.

Bromine was name after the Greek word bromos meaning stench and is considered hazardous, playing a part in depleting ozone and oxidizing mercury.
