Description: Fort Lauderdale's The Button was owned by Gregg Newell, known locally simply as “Crazy Greg,” was there every night sporting his signature Hawaiian shirt and kookie propeller hat since its opening in 1970. Attached to a cheap hotel, this legendary spring break party spot was so wild, it was actually more than the city could handle at times. The Button hosted wet t-shirt, French kissing, and bikini contests, many of which resulted in fines and charges of promoting “lewd and lascivious” activity by the state as usually pushed the boundaries of both common decency and the law. The bar also routinely ran afoul of occupancy limits, a side effect of its extreme popularity. The Button closed in 1987 after mounting issues with the city.

Description: Every computer from the early nineties had one: the turbo button, next to a little red display that read 66. The joke is true. Switching turbo off slowed the machine down so old games would not run too fast, so the button that sounded like more speed mostly existed to make the computer slower. Drawn as a front panel with drive bays and vents, no brand and no logo. For computer nerds, sysadmins and anyone who pressed it just to watch the number change. Printing on a light garment? Description: THE ORIGINAL REWIND BUTTON! If you know, you know. Long before Spotify, streaming music, and digital playlists, all you needed was a cassette tape, a No. 2 pencil, and a little patience. This retro-inspired design celebrates one of the greatest life hacks of the 1980s: using a pencil to rewind your favorite cassette tape. Featuring a vintage cassette, classic yellow pencil, bold retro lettering, and faded 80s colors, this design brings back the days of homemade mixtapes, boomboxes, Walkmans, and recording your favorite songs off the radio. Perfect for Gen X, 80s kids, vintage music collectors, cassette tape enthusiasts, and anyone who remembers the frustration of tangled tape and the satisfaction of winding it back into place. With its
Description: Hitting the save command just once is an act of reckless confidence that no modern computer user can afford. When a student finishes a paragraph or an employee updates a spreadsheet, an overwhelming sense of paranoia immediately takes over. Clicking on that tiny floppy disk icon a single time is never enough to fight off the deep, lingering fear of a sudden software crash or an unexpected power outage. Instead, the only real solution is to aggressively mash the save button five, six, or even ten times in rapid succession. It is a frantic, comforting method of digital survival. There is absolutely no logical reason why the tenth click is safer than the first, but it provides total peace of mind. It is the ultimate policy.
