She meets Baron Robin Fitzwalter (later known as Robin Hood) in time to see Baynard's Castle torched by King John. Robin comforts his daughter Matilda while the Castle burns in the night. I was in tears with all that had happened so quickly. Alfred and the others comforted me as best they could. I could hear the others making plans. The knights would gather at a meeting place and decide what to do. All the servants would go to relatives in London Town. They explained that London was filled with refugees from burnt-out lands. We marched into London with great fanfare. Virtually everyone lined the streets and greeted us as the victors of hope and change. As we anticipated, not a single sword was raised against us. We marched through the grand city as victors and then camped the army on the edge of town.
