" and depicts a shoe with a hole worn through the bottom. The ad makes reference to a famous photograph of Stevenson, who, while seated had one leg crossed over the other and a hole was clearly seen in his shoe. A newsman snapped a photograph of the pose and the resulting photo was seen in newspapers across the US.
