Description: Deserted amusement parks can be creepy enough, but at Pripyat Amusement Park, in the ghost town of Pripyat, Ukraine, the reason for abandonment makes the place not only creepy, but hazardous. The 1986 nuclear disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant closed down the plant and caused the evacuation of the entire city, rendering this amusement park useless. While the people have long since departed, the radiation remains.
Description: Vintage World of Sid and Marty Krofft tee! A whimsical Atlanta, Georgia indoor amusement park that opened in May 1976 inside the Omni International Complex, now part of the CNN Center. Created by television producers Sid and Marty Krofft, the colorful, multi-level attraction brought their beloved characters from shows like H.R. Pufnstuf and Lidsville to life through imaginative rides, puppet theaters, and fantastical displays. Despite its ambitious design, low attendance and operating difficulties led to its closure in November 1976, after just six months. A retro tribute to one of the most unusual experiments in 1970s theme park history.

Robbie the Rabbit is one of Lakeside Amusement Park's four mascots. The others are Kathy the Kitty, Huey the Horse, and Dawn the Duck. Description: Miracle Strip Amusement Park was a theme park located in Panama City Beach, Florida, which operated from 1963 to 2004. The park featured several typical rides that were enhanced in unique ways by placing them within domed structures and adding lighting effects, temperature changes, smoke effects and music. These included the Abominable Snowman, Dante's Inferno and The Dungeon. There were also standard rides, such as bumper cars, a log flume, a scenic car driving attraction called Route 63, a train, a Vonroll type 101 sky ride, a Wave Swinger, loop-o-plane and the stand-outs; the Starliner Roller Coaster and O2 Tower. The park was also dotted with multiple kiddie rides.
