Description: The Arctic wolverine (Gulo gulo luscus) is a subspecies of the wolverine, a large member of the weasel family found in the Arctic regions of North America and Eurasia. The Arctic wolverine is the largest subspecies of wolverine, with males reaching up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and females up to 14 kg (31 lbs). This species is well adapted to living in cold climates due to its thick fur, which is used to insulate against the cold. Wolverines are also powerful predators, and their diet consists mainly of small mammals, birds, and carrion.
