Description: Scouters and Beavers alike know the perils of sleepover camp. Who will wet their sleeping bag? Who will have nightmares? Who will lose or forget all their gear? What will the bathrooms look like at the end of camp? Will anyone actually sleep? (No, to that last). As a Beaver Scouter with Scouts Canada I am well versed in the major fun and major disasters that can occur at sleepover camp! If you as a Scouter have made it through, you deserve a commemorative medal and also a vacation, preferably adult-only. As a Beaver, you deserve a badge and a memory of a great adventure. Description: The Bay City Beavers were a Southern Michigan League baseball team based in Bay City, Michigan, United States that existed from 1913 to 1915. Future major leaguer Joe Harris played for them in 1913 and 1914. Cecil Coombs played for them in 1914 as well. No known major league baseball players played for them in 1915.
Description: The Portland Beavers was the name of separate minor league baseball teams, which represented Portland, Oregon, in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). The team was established in 1903, the first year of the PCL, until the last iteration ended playing in 2010. Players who got their start with the Beavers include Stan Coveleski, Jim Thorpe, Mickey Cochrane, Ted Williams. An 56 year old Satchel Paige even pitched for them in 1961.
